The City of Doral will be sponsored by Homeland Security to provide training courses to all those interested in participating.
After September 11, 2001, America witnessed a wellspring of selflessness and heroism. People in every corner of the country asked, "What can I do?" and "How can I help?" Citizen Corps was created to help all Americans answer these questions through public education and outreach, training, and volunteer service.
Citizen Corps Councils helps drive local citizen participation by coordinating Citizen Corps programs, developing community action plans, assessing possible threats and identifying local resources.
The following training is now available:
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. Using their training, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event and can take a more active role in preparing their community. Session 1
-Tuesday May 23, 2006 8 hrs., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
-Wednesday May 24, 2006 4 hrs., 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
-Wednesday May 31, 2006 8 hrs., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Session 2
-Sunday May 28, 2006 8 hrs., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
-Saturday June 3, 2006 4 hrs., 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
-Sunday June 4, 2006 8 hrs., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Community repairs have already begun. The crown molding on our front wall has been repaired. The Cabana has been repaired too and shortly painting will begin.
| We are very proud to have in our community, Luis Felipe Camacho Jr., a young man, Marine, who just returned from his one year tour of duty in Iraq. A Halloween Party for the children of the community took place at the gazebo on October 31st. As is done every year, prizes for the best and most creative customs were awarded. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Aronson contributed with ice cream cakes, cookies, refreshments and many, many other things. Mr. and Mrs. Juan Casimiro donated money for the prizes. Mrs Claudia Herrera, as always, donated many hours of hard work. We would like to thank them for their contribution. It was very appreciated by the children as we had just endured the ravages of two hurricanes, Katrina and Wilma. Photos of the party were posted on the bulletin board, courtesy of Mrs. Kerri Leon. Our traditional Christmas Party for the children took place on Sunday December 18 at the gazebo area. We would like to extent our gratitude to all the people that made this evening a very special one. Our thanks are extended to the Doral Fire Department that for the second year has come to share this time.

The Board needs volunteers for committees. If you are interested contact management or attend the next board meeting for further information.
Architectural Control Committee Please ask for ACC approval before making any changes or improvements in your pro-perty. Get forms from the security guard house. The Board of Directors extends its condolences to the Diez’s Family for the passing away of Mr. Diez.
The Board has worked very hard to prepare a functional budget with a minimal increase to the maintenance fee, especially after all the unexpected expenses endured by the hurricanes this year.
We would like to call to the attention of all the residents that have not installed the barcode to please do so. It is good for the resident as well as for the community to shorten the line at the entrance to avoid accidents.
